HTC Incredible S Lands
There haven’t been very many new mobile phones worth shouting about for a while, well that’s just changed. The Incredible S from HTC is slick, fast and really gives the iPhone 4 a run for it’s money.
With a stunning 4″ screen, virtual surround sound and a 720p HD camera it certainly has the specs to impress. The Incredible S comes with Android 2.2 and HTC have promised to upgrade to 2.3 shortly, the Sense UI is as polished and responsive as ever and makes using the myriad of features intuitive and easy.
Web browsing is quick, and although it’s still not the same as it is on a laptop it’s far more usable than it is on most other handsets. We spent some time with this phone side by side with an iPhone 4 and to be honest there’s really not much to separate them, both phones are excellent but the Incredible S just nudges ahead because of it’s expandable storage and standardised USB connection. The unlocked version we had also supported WiFi tethering right out of the box meaning we were able to share the HSDPA connection with a laptop.
Overall this is a worthy successor to HTC’s Desire range, taking the same winning formula and adding a heap of upgraded hardware specs.
Thumbs Up
